8.55am Registration.

The first session begins immediately after registration. The dinner register and money are sent up to the school secretary as promptly as possible.

Collective Worship.

Each week day we celebrate collective worship together at 10.20am.

Each Friday we celebrate the achievements of our pupils and invite parents, carers and family members to join us. The class teacher will notify you if your child has a special award or cup to collect in order that you can celebrate their success with us.

Foundation:

The children self register in their key groups in their own base rooms upon arrival.

9.10 - 9.25 - each key group has their literacy, numeracy or other curricular input. The children take it in turns to work in their focus groups which are delivered both indoors and in the outdoor classroom. The remaining children explore and investigate different areas of provision where observations are recorded to enhance child-initiated learning.

10.30 - 10.45 - the children rotate base rooms with their key person for their second input of the day.

12.00 - 1.00 lunchtime.  MSA's organise and supervise school dinners and support the children with their packed lunches before taking them onto the main school playground for playtime.

1.05 - 1.20 - the children access the third base room with their key person for the final input of the day.

2.40 - 3.05 - tidy up, storytime and prayers are shared before the children go home.

The children work in their owm classrooms at a teacher focus activity, or independently work in small groups. Some children will access the classroom areas and groups may work in the outdoor classroom

Teachers ensure pupils have their belongings and see them out of the classroom to the waiting parent, carer or responsible adult.

Children wait with the teacher until they are met. If children have not been collected by 3.15pm, the school office needs to be informed so that the Head or the Deputy can make arrangements.

Timetables/Groupings.

Individual class information is available in each classroom.

Attendance Registers.

Attendance registers are to be marked twice daily at the beginning of the morning and afternoon sessions.

We ask all parents and carers to ring school and inform of any pupil absences before the beginning of the school day. The office staff will record an absence slip and inform individual class teachers. Unauthorised absences are investigated initially via a telephone call on the first day of unauthorised absence. However if unauthorised absences or lateness are persistent the Headteacher and if necessary the Education Social Worker will follow it up. The School office will collate information every week.

Dinner Money.

Dinner money is collected on a Monday and sent in a named envelope with the dinner registers to the school secretary.

Children receiving free school meals and those who have a packed lunch are also recorded on the register.

Educational Visits/Sponsor Money.

Money collected for visits and from fundraising  is entered on a class list and sent to the secretary.

Medical Information.

Each class has a medical information list that is initially sent with the registers. Each class teacher is responsipble for keeping this is a safe but accessible place.

Staff Development Meetings.

Tuesday 3.15pm.

A termly agenda is drawn up by the Leadership Team, meetings include regular, specific Key Stage Meetings

P.E.

Children regularly have P.E lessons both inside and, weather permitting, outside. For outside wear, children will need a P.E. kit. which consists of shorts, t-shirt, plimsolls in the Summer Term (and a bag which will hang in the cloakroom to contain them - all items must be labelled with your child's name).

Jewellery.

Children should not wear jewellery in school, things do get damaged or lost and much distress is caused when this happens.
